DERBY POETRY FESTIVAL

Often referred to as DPF, Derby Poetry Festival is a four-day poetry and literature festival held in the centre of Derby. We are dedicated to developing new writing talent in Derby and bring excellent work to the city. DPF has just entered it's sixth year, 2023 was a HUGE success and 2024 is set to be bigger and better than ever. 

We work with local, national and international talent to build a community of likeminded individuals to create a wonderful literary festival.
 

DERBY POETRY FESTIVAL 2024 DIGITAL WORKSHOP SERIES

Following the 2023 Festival and DPF poetry Prize, Derby Poetry Festival is excited to launch our 2024 workshop series, bringing together poetry and creative writing talent from across the country. This years workshop series is all digital and integrates different types of writing, exploring form, word play and prompts, ideal for established writers and those looking to develop their creative practice.

These two hour workshops will run monthly alternating between Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings, starting Thursday 22nd February. Workshops will be capped at 30 participants and we expect high interest so book now to avoid disappointment!

Derby Poetry Festival is partnered with QUAD, Derby Theatre, DEDA, Derby Libraries and Derby Museums. We have access to resources and events that we want to share as we build our poetry community within Derbyshire.
